I don't have a problem being naked really. My issue was people thinking they could force me to do something I told them I didn't want to do. And a Halloween twerp thinking she had the authority to say whether or not people's excuses were valid or not.

To be fair, I don't think many of the people here are stable. [ It's fine! ] I guess what I want to know if you'll still be resistant next week.

Well, I fit right in. This'll go well. [He shrugs one shoulder.] Depends on what happens next week. I'm not going to promise you I will only to disappoint you. Got enough disappointment on me to last a lifetime.

Lup tried to convince me to let her check me so I can become part of your Stripping Hivemind, but I told her the same thing. It depends.

Unless they're, like, the most minuscule thing, if you slide your hands over one, or press it, you're going to twitch at least a little. Maybe if they're on the bottom of your feet, or in your hair.

But you don't have to get naked for those.

But why settle for 95% clarity when we could have 100%? Sieghart's cut was miniscule. By chance it happened to be on his finger, but it could've been on his chest or his legs.

Not to mention the idea of being caught does wonders to help people remain stoic when being pat down. I doubt Mikazuki would flinch even if his arm was severed if it benefited him.

Well, that's why we're checking hands and arms, yeah?

[He smirks because he knows he is only being pedantic and sassy, not serious.]

I've been trained, but even I couldn't not flinch at least a little if someone was poking around my injuries. Listen, I get it. There's room for error, but there's still room for error even if we check everyone because we've all been through this routine before and know how it works. I'm not saying we shouldn't. I'm just saying everyone is putting too much faith in it so much that they're ready to stake anyone who doesn't comply.

It can be dangerous territory. Letting a few big-heads get relegated to overseeing a group of people who won't question the authority.

I don't think any of us were granting Harrow authority as much as we've resigned ourselves to this. We've been through eight weeks of it at least. You haven't, so I get that pulling out the pitchforks wasn't the most "we're all in this together" move.

But we all comply for a reason. And yeah, I understand that it's not perfect. Killers are experienced enough to anticipate it. But it's information, and what's the alternative? A pat down isn't perfect either, especially when not as many people can execute it thoroughly. It's easier to look and see what's there, than to feel and try to guess.

You guys need to stop being complacent, eight weeks or not. I'm really not the issue here. You all can run me over pretty easily if you wanted. I don't have any ties; no one would vouch for me more than likely if it came down to it. An easy win for you for one week, and not a hard outcome to get over even if I'm innocent.

The people here who know each other? From home, from another game like this? They're the ones who can slip through the cracks if you don't question things. Everyone thinks I'm being an ass on purpose, but I'm just being cautious.

We had about seven swords in my game, ones like Mikazuki, and Tsurumaru was there. Not this one. They moved as a unit. They were loyal to each other without waver. They could turn the vote as easily as anything. And they worked together to get rid of us despite only one of them being a General. The other was a Rainsford, someone who could protect you from the hunt. That's a whole lot to have in your corner as a group. This isn't the island, but things can play out the same until we know how the underbelly of this place works.

I know. We had a dedicated group that would commit murders each week where I was. They would vouch for each other's injuries, and because we didn't know who the group was and they had no other relationship, we didn't notice.

But it still helped build a picture. I'd there's several pieces of evidence pointing toward one person, then why are there no injuries? Why did this person say the wounds were unrelated?

[ I don't think they were smart enough in Seasons to actually do this, but IT COULD HAPPEN... ]

I don't think you're being difficult in purpose, it was pretty clear you were trying to help with the investigation, so I'm open to discussing this with you. But I'm not convinced that we should abandon the practice. Maybe it is complacency, but the way I see it, killers could plant fake evidence on the scene as well, but we still gather everything we can.

Or is your concern that you'll be made suspect just due to having few ties here?

Buddy, you're only making more of a case for me here. Like I said: I don't think it shouldn't be done. I just think people are putting way more stock into it than looking at other things, too. In putting it all together.

Everything can be faked, or twisted, or hidden. So don't put so much faith into the integrity of getting naked. It's good to have, but you don't have to whistle in the muscle to rip someone's clothes off right out the gate.

[He waves a hand dismissively.]

If people can't catch me on actual evidence, there isn't anything I can do about it. I'm not worried about dying. I've done it twice. And in my game, dying is what was supposed to happen. I'd be a fool not to consider the possibility something here might be similar, even if every place is different.

[shaft]

[ He crosses his arms, nodding. ]

Alright. So your argument is that you think it has value, just not enough to have enforced it with an iron first?

Something like that. The rest of you seem unfortunately compliant, so I don't think there really is going to be an issue. Everyone did it except, like, me, so if someone doesn't now, it's kind of a little fishy.

Maybe the iron fists should come out when other resources have been exhausted and we have to go back to the people who haven't yet. Or, you know, you could just talk to them reasonably first...

[ He just tilts his head, shrugging. ]

I'll admit they were a little morally superior about it. Pulling out a gun probably didn't help the possibility of conversation either.

Sheesh. I already told everyone: the gun only came out because a weird purple, horned guy tried to tackle me first.

What? No. He's weird because he was unnaturally delighted with the idea of jumping me, not because he's purple and has horns.

I could've, but I was too worried about socking someone else who'd probably jump in the way. Also, I probably would've hurt him. Then people would've really hated me.
