Well, no, I think the intent of that spell was probably to turn them into trees permanently? Like, tree people. People trees. They could still talk and stuff, you heard them, they just couldn't move at all. But the forest they were in was cursed and the curse ended up getting broken, so when the rest of the forest disappeared, they did too.
Yeah. I don't remember the exact words, that was like six months ago, but essentially, it was something about how if one kingdom didn't prevail, then that forest would keep spreading over everything. And that would be bad, because it's full of monsters and it was growing over the fields we used to harvest food, so - you know, widespread destruction, the usual.
Uh, I don't know the exact timeline, but I definitely don't have any memories of him from when I was a kid, so it had to be at some point before I was a couple of years old. Probably after I was born, though, yeah.
