Nah. Can’t exactly run for mayor when you’re legally dead. No one puts you in power unless you’re scratching their back anyway. The taint is on the inside. Down below. That’s where you gotta work.

There's plenty of power in grassroots movements, you don't need to be a "mayor" to effect change... Though you will need their cooperation. In most cases.

You just seem to care about these issues.

You’ll definitely need them. And other things too. The justice system. The news media. The medical system. The school system.

[He shrugs a bit.]

It’s probably because I lived it.

It is a little unfair to be victim to injustice as a child and then have to dedicate the rest of your life fighting to fix it.

Wish there were other people around to do that.

Sometimes those people don’t do what really needs to be done. So you just have to do it yourself.
