[ He jerks, instinctively, when she grabs him, but not enough to pull away from her, stumbling backwards toward the opposite wall while his own reflection gives up the charade, starting to march slowly along the perimeter toward them. ]
Claude jerks to dodge, yanking Lup with him, feeling the heat of the flame. He produces a dagger seemingly out of no where, whipping it at the reflection out of instinct, and the blade embeds into the mirror, the glass shattering around it.
It's not enough to stop Mirror Lup though, and she just darts elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Mirror Claude is reaching out to strangle real Lup... Hello... ]
[lup stumbles when claude grabs for her, and nearly eats shit. she only just manages to catch herself before she does, looking up in time to see the blade hit the mirror. she's so distracted by the sight of mirror lup that she misses mirror claude grabbing for her.
he does, in fact, manage to get his fingers around her neck, and she makes a startled sound before she's trying to struggle away, kicking backwards.
mirror lup - who looks perhaps a bit more like a wrathful monster appears in front of claude in the mirror. her hair is made of a flickering flame, the cracks of lava across her face glowing faintly. she grins, and launches herself out of the glass to grab at him.]
Claude, realizing that he's now effectively unarmed, starts toward Lup to help her when he's distracted by Mirror Lup—starting for a second at the sight of her—but managing to grab one wrist, the other hand fisting in her shirt to try and keep her at arms length, wary of another burst of magic.
Mirror Claude, meanwhile, is very much still armed. Producing his own dagger to slit Lup's throat. ]
[there's not a lot of things mirror lup can do, grabbed like this, but she is desperately trying to strangle the shit out of claude the best she can. with her whole eight points of strength. maybe a little more, since this is the demented mirror version of her.
lup, on the other hand, is not really equipped to protect herself in any way, so like, if mirror claude is going to slit her throat he has free reign! i am making you make that decision.
though first, lup just yells:] Just kill her! Break her! I'll be fine!
[probably. she can't say much else, since mirror claude now has a hand around her throat.]
[ WE'RE NOT GOING TO KILL LUP but maybe he jams the dagger in her chest a little, just to keep her from struggling too much as he strangles her.
Real Claude, in the meantime, is plenty used to grappling for his life, and emboldened by Lup's suggestions, lifts a leg to kick the reflection back before grabbing her head and smashing it into the ground.
At which point he sees the blood on the ground. ]
Damn it!
[ Before trying to wrestle the other Claude away from her. ]
[oh my favorite, just a little tiny stabbing for fun. as a treat. she is stabbed and strangled! she probably makes a pretty horrified sound because she hates being in pain of any kind at all, too.
the mirror lup takes a foot to the face, and then a slam to the ground, and that's a whole bunch of damage. she ends up shattering into a million pieces, leaving a bunch of cuts on claude's hands. the remaining pieces melt, turning to liquid, and soak into the floor. that's one problem taken care of.
unfortunately, the real lup's struggling has mostly stopped, by the time that claude gets to her. in fact, claude pulls the mirror claude off, and she vanishes. that's probably fine.
but hey - maybe he can see that's the way to get out? you kill your double, and you get out of the hall of mirrors.]
[ Help, he most certainly does not expect Lup to blip out of existence, but he's only got about half a second to process it before Evil Claude is turning attention to him.
They probably grapple for a bit, and it's extremely trippy being strangled by someone with your exact face. Mirror Claude has the advantage given that he's still armed, but Claude disengages with a kick to grab his own dagger and slices his throat.
Before also blipping out of existence.
And falling on his butt on the hallway, still pumped full of adrenaline. ]
lup is sprawled out in the hallway staring up at the ceiling with a hand pressed to her neck, feeling at it gingerly. she has strangulation marks there... which she hates.]
Hm. Four out of ten experience. [she says, lightly, trying to hide her voice hitching in the middle.]

[there's not much in this place except for the mirrors... though there is a flash of movement at the corner of her eye that makes her twist to look.]

What is it?

... What are you looking at?
no subject
My reflection... Something is off about it. As though it's mirroring me just a second too late.

lup, who is not smiling, grabs claude's wrist and yanks him back.]
Time to go! Time to go right now!

There's- do we go through the glass?!
no subject
I don't know! It's hard to tell where we can go -- [she stumbles off away from the reflections, but they're sort of... everywhere.
her's in particular is shifting, too. claude might catch a flash of flame at the corner of his eye.]

You okay?
[ Uhh, since you were stabbed. ]
no subject
... Presumably? [she puts a hand on her chest, like she's feeling for the stab wound. it is... not there.] I'm not dead. That's a win.
no subject
So that was pretty messed up.
[ Sits on the floor next to her. ]

[she... slowly sits up. and takes a very deep breath.]
Sorry. [she says, lamely.] That's the version of me nobody should meet.
no subject
What do you mean... "version" of you?
no subject
The bad version. Or. Well, badder.

no subject
No, it's the same me. Just uh, just from the last thing I was in. That's what I looked like.

[ It's a little obvious he kind of wants to ask more, but can sense it's not the most pleasant topic. ]

[she says, with a little huff of amusement.]
You can ask, I don't care.
