I died. The only reason I'm here now is because my friend Toki did some weird magic to give me a new body.

Well not a sapling, since my tree is gone now, it's just me. For a while I was just a bird.
[You know. The tree life cycle. Though given the form Tsuyukusa had in that memory maybe it makes complete sense. It was sort of a bird with branch antlers.]
