It's a high alcohol content drink. Usually made up a variety of grains and aged in wooden casks.

's hard to get the real good stuff, but it's always worth it.

I don't mind a party, but there's gotta be a damn good reason t' have one. Survivin' a big battle, reapin' a big reward. Tastes best when there's good company 'nd good reason.

How do you normally enjoy your liquor then?

After a mission or somethin' like that, with my partner 'nd the sage. Sometimes the other wizards, dependin' on who came along.

That's not a party?

Depends on how many other people there are. If it's all 22 of us, it's a party.

You must come from quite a rowdy place then.

It's not as rowdy as ya think. East ain't big on parties and half of Central ain't interested.

They must be better than the stuffy parties I was forced to attend. Nothing but politicking and ass kissing.

Not quite. More like a general in the war, so there's a lot of trying to request resources and funds from various lords.

You don't consider your fight against the Calamity a sort of war?

Then... who funds your battles? And training? And accommodation?

It's one battle, once a year. There's a manor for the Sage's wizards.

We do our trainin' ourselves.
