[he starts to swim towards him and it's just....it's so sad but maybe endearing?? depending on how Claude would feel seeing a puppy struggle to paddle around a pool
Denji's dog paddle, however, is full of gusto and a seemingly limitless well of energy, so lack of grace aside he's definitely gaining some distance on Claude—eyes wild amidst a torrent of water and flailing limbs]
[ Claude isn't really looking at Denji, except when he reaches the other side of the pool and curls himself around to start swimming back so that he can finish the lap and...

For some reason he still kind of scares him though?? Like he's so bad he could be deadly? ]
[that's nice of claude! denji is...probably fine....he's mostly above water just from sheer force of will and intensity of motion
he finally makes it to the opposite wall, and, because he doesn't know how professional swimming races work, takes all the time to get out of the pool, turn around, and jump back in
thankfully (??) this does come with another big cannonball that places him pretty close to Claude, sending a huge wave towards him—still, it'll probably take him a little bit to get his limbs coordinating again]
Glad I could give ya a good fight. And that was only my third time swimmin'! [he plops wetly down on his butt and takes a few moments to catch his breath]
