roasting the shit out of a marshmallow. he’s toasted so many things here by now that his only goal is to see how charred he can get this marshmallow before it gives up entirely and turns to ash. ]

[ As Claude says this, another growl rumbles through the dark, catching his attention. ]

I wonder if you could weaponize molten marshmallows.

Probably. They burn like they just crawled out of the pits of Gehenna themselves.

You never did answer what it was I was supposed to be hearing in the distance, huh?

I couldn't answer you even if I wanted.

[ He doesn't see anything, but he doesn't look back at Crow yet. ]

Though I'd be impressed if there was anything more terrifying than the geese here.

Doubtful. Those geese are probably demonic. I'm thinking if we start preparing for their uprising now, we might just about survive it.

when he comes back he’s holding a fuck off long sword on his shoulder like the world’s most over the top baton. ]

I’m not even giving those geese the slightest chance to get anywhere near me. [ SMILE ]

[ And so they march on, Claude quiet as he tries to pick up on the sound of any growling. ]

[ he's also happy enough to let claude take point and put his big bad tracking skills to use, but there's enough alertness about him to make it clear he's not unaware of their surroundings. ]
