[ Thankfully, Claude doesn't panic. Just looks at her as he sips his tea. ]

.... Um... to be honest, kinda.... but not on purpose.

Well, we are broadcasting our fears this week. I don't think mine is that unusual.

[feytality]

Yeah..... I think... it's pretty normal to be afraid of that.

But I don't think you're the type of person to ever to ever accept failure, so I don't think that fear of yours will ever come to pass.

[shaft]

You've come to that conclusion after two weeks?

[ Still, he's smiling. ]

I'm flattered but... no one is invincible, you know?

I'm a good judge of character! Plus, you spend so much time following me around.... I think I'm starting to get a pretty good sense of you.

Mmm, but I don't think it's about being invincible. I think it's about never giving up, even when things seem hopeless.

That's a good attitude to have—I often think that hope never dies as long as you're alive.

Though, this place has made me question the likelihood of that.

I think that..... you can still have hope, even if you're not alive.

good thing he's about to ruin the mood! ]

I always thought that if I was clever and smart enough, I could escape any dire situation or turn it in my favour. But being here is quite humbling.

[ what is he means is that they could die at any time and be helpless to stop it ]

[ anyway maya is in optimism mode so there's no defeating her ]

Don't count yourself out just yet, Mr. von Riegan. I've been in even more dire situations like this... kinda.
