The distraction isn't the worst thing to keep people from panicking too much, but...it's a balance, isn't it? Making sure things don't get too bad but also that people don't get too complacent.

No kidding. Waking up here without warning was already pretty bad, but it was safer for a while. Something like that...there's always the possibility you won't be able to get back for a while. If at all.
