I have no idea. Maybe they all had a certain threshold of vouchers they needed to reach? Chad was worried about Sally though, so I'm glad that she broke free.
She said this world's compulsion was so strong that it didn't occur to her to be puzzled as to why she didn't need to eat, sleep, or drink. And she said she was just immediately Sally as soon as she arrived.
I'm sure she probably rests, but admittedly we don't have access to her room. It might just be that she doesn't need it, not that she doesn't do it at all.
[ She tips her head back to look up at him. ]
But I can tell you're worried, so you could always talk to her about it.
[ He is a little worried, and he goes contemplative for a moment. ]
Yeah. I just think not being able to sleep is hellish. [ His Naps. ] Chad didn't say much about himself, on the other hand. He only mentioned that we can still help the people in the daycare.
I'm glad they're okay, somehow. Not that this makes any of this better, but... if there's a chance we really all can return home and be okay, Dorm Heads included, I'll gladly take it.
I think there just might be... I'm wondering as well, if there's a reason they were killed. If perhaps there's something they need to accomplish wherever they are.
... Mm. I imagine there is a reason. And this place seems to have expected this to happen, given the set-up. If they can make it back from daycare and we haven't figured it out yet, we can ask them.

Same here. Though Sally and the others don't seem to think there's anything strange about it.

But it's fine, her own pulse is racing a little. Not that it'll be as easy to notice. ]
... Oh, speaking of that. Did your Dorm Head also, er... change a bit?
no subject
If we're talking about the same thing.

Sally-- that is, Annie came racing out in a state of excitement. She said it was the longest this has ever lasted.
... I wonder what changed.

Did she mention anything helpful?

Shall I just say she has something in common with you?
[ and there's a little layer of sadness now. ]

[ He can guess what it is. ]

[ A spark of concern. ]
She just stays awake at night?

[ ... ]
... Maybe I'm just being optimistic.

[ He sighs, noticing that he's gone tense again, and forces himself to relax. ]
It's difficult to say. But if we're able to save one another, that's good enough for me.

[ She reaches up carefully now, to press her palms to his cheeks, chin once again tipped up. ]
I'm rather bad at this "getting you to relax" thing... is what I'm starting to think.
no subject
I just like to think too much. I need to keep my mind active.
no subject
I'm aware. But try to give yourself breathers every now and then, okay?
no subject
I... guess. After five years of war, I'm not sure I remember how to switch off.

[ She's kidding. ]

[ He hums. ]
Besides, it's hard to take that advice from a doctor that never steps off the clock.
no subject
I'm off the clock right now, you know!

You're teasing me a little too much.

I want you to relax as much as you want me to. You've more than earned it.
