Otome. Excited about tomorrow?

[momming]

... I think so. Or maybe I will be after I've slept. I think a part of me still thinks it might be a dream, despite knowing better.

[ She glances at him. ]

What about you? Have you decided what you'll be doing?

[shaft]

Yeah, it all feels a little too good to be true, doesn't it?

[ He looks thoughtful. ]

I'm not sure. I don't think I want to go back to Fódlan, so I might travel. And you?

[momming]

I do have to go home, to deal with a... well, rather large annoyance.

But I'm glad you're choosing to live for yourself now.

[shaft]

Ah, not letting some all powerful wish take care of it?

[momming]

No. I think it would kind of cheapen all of our efforts thus far.

[shaft]

[ He laughs. ]

Fair enough. What will you use it for then?

[momming]

... Hm. Maybe to cure Nier's sister's illness, if I can't do anything about it myself.

[ Wishes are hard. ]

That would be very generous of you.

I'm a doctor. Of course if someone's suffering, I want to do what I can.

[ He sighs. ]

Both him and his sister certainly deserve it. It'd be relief to me as well... But I hope it doesn't come at your expense.

[momming]

Not really. My original wish really is something I can do for myself.

[shaft]

I'm glad. I want you to be around when I come for a visit

[ heh ]

Unless you'll be with Beau?

[momming]

I might be! But regardless, I'll let you know so I can hug you when you show up.

[ Because she adores Claude. ]

I'm going to look forward to that then.

[ He grins, expression soft as he takes her in. ]

[momming]

Of course you did. [ softly, as she gazes back at him. ]

I think you're understating your importance to me by quite a bit, honestly.

[shaft]

Well, you're so big and strong and stoic.

[ He's teasing, but he reaches out, brushing a bit of her hair back. ]

And I never knew the burden you were bearing.

[momming]

[ Otome snorts, softly, even as she closes her eyes to let him push her hair back. ]

You weren't supposed to. That was the last thing I wanted.
