it looks very "yuri" like. the lighting is soft and dim, provided by a number of wall mounted lights with a distinct sconce vibe about them. the walls are coloured in a deep, dark purple which makes everything seem pretty cosy, but also darker and dimmer than your average room. in the middle of the ceiling there's one larger, central light fixture that dangles down at different angles. it's almost delicate looking, but seems to be providing the main source of light when it's actually on.
the bed is large and comfortable looking, with dark coloured sheets and more than enough pillows for someone to burrow into for maximum comfort. little twinkling lights are wound around the bedposts, although they have that same dim glow that the wall lights have. there's an elegant looking rug under the bed frame itself as well. notably though, the bed is tucked away in the corner of the room with walls on at least two sides of the bed, and it's angled in a way that means yuri has a clear view of the door directly from his bed as well.
across the back wall there's a large bookcase, with tomes upon tomes of books -- ranging from silly sounding mills and boon to historical texts and some in languages claude might not even recognise. it would be very impressive, if they weren't fakes upon closer inspection. they can't even be pulled away from the bookcase itself. they're all interconnected into one long row of "books". although one of them does seem to be an individual book rather than part of the literary hivemind. in front of the bookcase is a cosy looking reading chair for (looks at notes) staring at the many, many interesting fake novels you could be reading, if only they were real.
his desk appears to be doing double duty as both a desk, complete with hotel brand notepad and his copy of the book of morbman (wowee), but also as a vanity table. not that there's any make up or anything, but there is a large mirror behind it, with lights dotted around it. ]
There wasn't much we could do. Whoever killed Kaeya snuck by under our noses, and even if we had figured it out [ ... ] we might not have liked that outcome either.
At this point it’s no win across the board. No one wants to see anyone die, and because of possession it’s not even like the people who killed them wanted to do so in the first place.
I’m mad Kaeya and Rupert died. But Seiros knows I’m not mad at Sheila, and I don’t think I could be at Kaeya’s killer either, if they were possessed in the same way. [ … ] Although I think he’s asked the impossible of me, after the fact.
After this weekend? Yes. He wants everyone to come together to share information and work collectively to solve this. And he asked me to nudge things in that direction.
After the near blow-out some of us had with some of the group from Hua Cheng's round, that seems... difficult. Or more difficult than it might've been. Not impossible though.
It doesn't surprise me, honestly. We all went through similar but specific hells. Gravitating towards the ones you shared thos experiences with seems pretty normal.
A mild concern then. Something I'm keeping my eye on.
