The full details elude me somewhat, but someone had a revival ability. He was caught for murdering someone, but used that ability on himself so he revived at the end of his execution.
They might vary from place to place. It's that old danger of assuming things based off what we already know, when we're in a difference place entirely.
But I can't think of anything else that could do something similar, so it's a possibility.
