Apparently. Given your apparent way of doing things, it’s not as though we dove directly into the thick of Edelgard and Dimitri’s vendetta. Not that it stopped conflict finding its way to where we were, but it was probably the biggest skirmish I can remember.

Not because I don’t think it’s something they couldn’t do. But compared to her ongoing issues with Dimitri, I would’ve thought Edelgard would’ve prioritised him.

… Her army certainly didn’t pause in striking him down in a very undignified way after Gronder.

Dimitri had the Church at his side to bolster his forces. Meanwhile, the Alliance was fractured and some of the lords defected to the Empire.

Derdriu was an easy target for her.

We’re going to need a notebook for these changes. The church was supporting the Golden Deer in my world. Or rather, Dimitri had gone off the deep end, Edelgard was doing her violent campaign for change and the Golden Deer were the only ones they could turn to to find Rhea.

You said yourself there’s deep rooted issues there. Better to be aware of the risk that ignoring it entirely.

I’m not saying confine him to his room or anything ridiculous like that. Just keep an eye on him.
