Not quick enough for my liking. Oh, it can improve, probably. But when there's time to figure things out and not a war going on.

I have other things I’m responsible for. I have to weigh up those immediate needs against longer term ones. You know how it is.

I hate to picture what'll happen to me if I ever have kids. That's one too many sources of responsibility.

That's pretty much the point of a wish though. I don't think many of them stem from places of selflessness.

It's kind of hard to go through weeks of hell and sacrifice your one magic solution for the greater good.

Exactly.

Probably better to just be honest about your aims being selfish. Even the most selfless sounding wish out there probably doesn't come from such humble origins.
