Do you suppose? I might allow you to lead, if you care for the advantage.

Well, I'm a little nervous at being swept along by you in ways that has little to do with skill, but I think the advantage might help.

[ he will go over to the band! and ask them to play some white people classical music before return and holding a hand out for mikazuki. ]

[white people classical music - the choice makes mikazuki laugh, but it doesn't seem entirely unfamiliar. he lived through the meiji restoration and all.

he will place his hand in claude's easily]

You don't have to try too hard.

[ he doesn't mind a little mischief.

and he'll place his other hand on mikazuki's back before starting to lead them across the floor, his slippers not quite the best shoes for the dance, but he keeps his footing.

but it'll become obvious that... he isn't that faithful to the steps! he moves a little quicker, guides them into turns a little more freely. basically doing whatever he wants. ]

[doing whatever he wants!! good for claude. mikazuki's smile curls a bit more as he allows himself to be led -

and as he realizes claude is not following the tempo exactly, he begins to pay less attention to the music. and more on claude himself.]

I cannot say I am familiar with this variation.

There's a certain elegance to following the steps of a waltz, but I have to admit it's not my preference.

I prefer the unpredictable, you know?
