I don't know. Even if we can be resurrected, there's no guarantee that our hostages could.

Those who were asleep in the 'summer camp' woke up, as I did.

But I am sure there are many who would like to see no harm come to their hostages regardless.

It does beg the question - if one is killed, what becomes of their hostage without someone 'playing' on their behalf?

They die? That's the risk that drives us to want to win. Otherwise we'd brush it off and assume there's no consequence to being murdered.

No consequence aside from pain and death? My, what a self-sacrificing group of humans we have gathered.

Well, fear of death is fear of an end, and the unknown... It'd still be terrible, but if your thought process is "we can just come back anyway", it takes a bit of the edge off.

Not that I'm lining up to test that there is resurrection, by the way. But I can see how some might think that way.

All options ought be considered.

From what I understand, in this collection of prior experiences, all were successful in resurrecting their dead. In the 'summer camp', this was not the case - and so many were playing for the chance to bring their friends back from the sex demons boat.

However the manner in which resurrection occurred also sounds varied. Some were brought back after experiencing a trial of their own. In our village, all but one had to die - and that remaining one held everyone's fate in their hands, including whether they could return.

We have not yet heard of any promise of wishes being granted or reality being altered - but that does not yet mean it doesn't exist. Though I suppose that requires one to consider both best and worst case scenarios.

But the larger question at hand is if that resurrection may or may not apply to our hostages, as you have said. Or if there is no way to secure that hostage’s safety in case their champion may be incapacitated.

Though I suppose it remains early - the true of these affairs take weeks to unfold.

We'll figure it out slowly, I'm sure.

I'm hoping for a proof of life too, or at least an opportunity to speak to them.
